Just Us Zine Issue One

Just Us is a travel zine like no other. It’s a collection of personal stories and experiences of people traveling together. Going on a road trip to Baguio, to Himalaya, to the grocery store or even just a commute to work, it’s that kind of traveling. More than just the beautiful places, Just Us is about the relationships we build with people we are traveling with or rediscover it in the most unforeseen moments. It aims to bring out the youthful sensibility in traveling. A travel diary of some sort. It is raw and intimate. Just Us believes that it is not always the destination, it’s the people you share the journey with.

Issue one features the revealing travel stories of some of Manila’s creatives. Filmmaker Petersen Vargas and artist Shintaro Lopez embark on a trip to Taipei and discover themselves; Fed Pua and family get lost in Turkey; artist Augustine Paredes narrates the lonely side of traveling alone in Stockholm; editor Bonnapart Galeng and industrial design student Curves Pasco visit the inspiring Chiang Mai. Also, an interview with Manila’s nightlife staples Samantha Nicole Mallillin Samonte and Leah Castaneda about their life-changing journey in New Zealand.
